I have to blog somehow AKA Blackberry Review

What can I say, I love my newest addition, the Blackberry, but there are a few things I don't like about it. It's very hard to text & drive on this (which makes my husband feel better), my other phones I could set certain #'s to silent for ringers & text, this phone you can only set the ringer, so people/companies that send out texts I like to receive, but send them while I'm asleep (some of us do sleep during the day) wake me. I'm also having some trouble w/the ringer volume, but it is set at an acceptable volume most of the time. While I can't hook up this phone to the laptop & use it as a modem (like I did w/the other cell[shhh!!!]) I can get on most of the websites I like to visit on here. Blogger is one I have some trouble w/, but I can do all but my scheduled posts, and read comments I receive via email. Instead of posting my green signature, it posts a message about the post being sent from a blackberry from US Cellular & my bill's about $20 more. I'll take the bad w/the good. I can view many websites on here, instead of sending texts to update twitter, facebook, myspace, etc. I can save my messages for other uses. I don't think emails count towards my text message package (like they did before), the camera has a flash (Vx's cheaper cell does as well), it's MUCH easier to use symbols, and the screens bigger, while the phone's almost the same size as my razr was closed. Like I've said before, this is the nicest most expensive phone I've had, I've used my cheaper ones in the same way this one was made for, and working every single night for 44 days straight now, it has helped me out greatly! Now if it only came w/a fan...

Interesting

So I had "dinner" w/Vx & his mom earlier at our neighbor's restaurant (we were fans before they were our neighbors), meaning I had to wake up early. During dinner Vx complained about me not having days off before he leaves for AT. If I took off every time he was supposed to be gone a "long time" I would never work. He was supposed to be gone a month in April, he was back 3 days later, he was supposed to be gone a month in Feb or March, that didn't happen, plus the numerous times he was supposed to deploy. He was also supposed to get his itinerary today, but warriors didn't have it. A plane he has was supposed to be at an event while he's gone & that was supposed to be a big deal, every time he flies it, he crashes it, so what does he do today? He flies it, & crashes it, he doesn't have time to fix it before he leaves, so it can't be used in this event, it was also going to be displayed at a hobby shop, they can't display it in two pieces, it apparently can't be stored in the storage unit because it's not climate control, yet those things are flown in snow and heat, & its too big 4 the apt. He wonders why i'm not more sympathetic about him crashing it. It also doesn't help that he seems to change his hobby every year. When we met, it was kung-fu, then he was away at basic & ait for about 5 months, then I got hurt, he got back into planes and helicopters, & was back into photography earlier this year.<br><br>I'm still not sure if Vx is reading this or not, something that made me really wonder about that, if you follow me on twitter, you may have seen my last #militarymon message about loving a man in acu's that says words like ethyl-something (I copy & pasted the full name for Vx according to wikipedia) and he said he wanted to use that word as a screen name now. As (army)wife would probably say, "Things that make you go hmm." He just started using twitter, were following each other, & my blog is the web address on there, so it's a possibility. He didn't like the blog I had on myspace, but people we knew personally would read it, say shit to him, & he hated that. So far he's the only person we know personally that's raising suspicions.

Should I?

I've been debating something, I guess the person in charge of gate is getting too many hrs, so they need to cut back on other's hrs or get rid of them. I haven't had a day off in 39 days & I think I make more than most (if not all) of the others (advantage of working out here since '05). I have a bad feeling about some of them covering my post, ditz 1 probably wouldn't have a clue, ditz 2 would probably sleep, this girl I guess I'll call ditz 3 would be too scared, this one woman that I know will do a great job will probably have 2 many hrs. @ other post, & idk other 2 well enough. I can't tell the good one what I said about ditz 1, 3, & one idk (family). Maybe I'm being 2 picky, I have worked this post for 3 out of the last 4 years, while it's not as big of a deal now as it was 4 yrs ago, I guess I just feel real protective about it, or I don't want them to find out how easy it really is, & steal it f/me in the future. It's not like I know how to do their jobs, back when I did it, I couldn't get by w/what they do. But then most of them have other jobs, & this is my only one, when the races end, they go back to working all the time at their jobs & I will be back @ ES waiting on hours til Oct, then after that, I'll be lucky to get 20 hrs. in a month.<br><br>After work yesterday, Vx & I fixed the bank acct's so now I have access to the new ones under my married name. While driving in the area of the mil branch, we talked about moving to that area, originally it was too far west for Vx, & he doesn't want to live west of this one street (where most of the apt's are at in that area) & he doesn't want to live much more north of there (too close to Beauty Queen, she's been bugging him to do things for her). There's 2 places I have in mind, I'll have 2 check 2 see if any are available & how much. If we go much further north or south, it gets ghetto, but this one particular area is nice, walking distance to many places, many of the houses are older mansions (some are museums now), and it's close to the park we got married at. Let's see if he changes his mind on this or not...

Cold in July?

Day 38: Before my last round, I added another layer of clothes to my legs. My layers include tights, thermal pants, jeans, blanket folded once wrapped around my legs; top half has a black thermal top, work polo, black jacket, and winter coat. I've never required this much clothing working @ FMT ever. My leg's been hurting the last several days, I wondered if it was the cold or not. The cold also makes me sleepy, I was already sleepy before I came into work, & now I can't stay awake.

Not again...

Vx is supposed to leave for AT w/salsa next week, the location keeps changing, & now all of a sudden, warriors has decided they "need" him more than they do & Vx strongly believes salsa will not deploy (to put it kindly, they're the short bus for the Army). Warriors is an hq unit, so they're using their powers to get him out. I think it's ridiculous, warriors deployed before Vx rejoined the Army, so they're not going again, & they think Vx shouldn't, even though he <i>wants<i/> to get deployed. Everyone keeps telling him he will get deployed, he's been told this several times in the last year-year & half. Every time he tells someone he's getting ready to leave in a few months, he sounds like he's full of shit. Now when he does, I mumble "No, your not." I'm glad to be working every night now, that way I don't have to listen to that.<br><br>Some of this may also be brought on by our disagreement earlier. I woke up late, while trying to get dressed for work, Vx came home & started pestering me. He touched my back & it caused an itchy reaction. I woke up early because 2 mosquito bites were very itchy, & then to have another itchy spot was too much. I told him that irritated me, & he got pissed.<br><br>I just dozed off for a minute there, probably better go do a round. Hopefully this time I won't get too cold.

In the Navy...

Third time is NOT a charm! Tried to get my military id again this morning. First time computer was down, second time was during a really bad ice storm & I was barely walking at the time, so we didn't go. The Reserve center that Vx does drill at is a joint service center for Army, Navy, & Marines , the Navy is who does the id's there, the only other place we know of near by that does them is the National Guard, & their office has been closed, so the Navy has changed how they do them to accommodate the extra people. I called them about an appt last week, it's now walk-in. They told me Vx needs to be there or fill out a form, & I need 2 forms of id. Mom had my SSN card in a safe place, so I got her to get it for me. I told Vx we need to get there at 9am, he kept telling me there will be no line, & what the person on the phone said was them over reacting, well guess who won that argument? We got there about 9:30, my turn was about 10:45, they close at 11 for lunch, they didn't have our marriage license on record (even though Vx swore he left it there) & we needed it, so we'll try again tomorrow morning. A Sgt. for Warriors said he can do it for us tomorrow about 8, before the office opens, so I think that's the plan. I guess some of Warriors people are also trying to get Vx out of Salsa & going to AT w/them. In other words, <i>he's not getting deployed AGAIN!<i/> Gr! Now for the work shit, I get here & find out someone did donuts on track because gate was open, baseball team is away so it shouldn't be open, FMT gate tried to get someone to close it but they wouldn't, so I did. Someone decided I needed different lights on, so I'll have to fix it on my next round (have to borrow key for that). At least the job's different every night, helps w/the whole 33 nights straight thing.
