Not this again?!?! (AKA Update #2)

Like I ended update #1, when it rains, it pours! Now for all the Army bs...

So when my husband transferred to a new unit near the west coast, it sounded wonderful, no more deployment bs (since they don't deploy), Vx would be teaching others chemical warfare (his passion), and the unit is located near his dad & sister (in other words, he'd get to visit them on the Army's bill). In typical Army fashion, its not working out that way.

The person who got him into the unit was transferred to another unit, so her helping Vx out is gone, and the new person doesn't seem to give a shit. At his board w/warriors, he was recommended for promotion, but they didn't count all his points, so he was short. Those points were counted at the last board, but someone on that board for whatever reason didn't think Vx should be recommended for promotion. When Vx talked to his new commander a while back, he said he was recommended, but according to the email, Vx wasn't. The next board is in December, we'll see how that one goes. To be in this unit, your supposed to be an E5 or higher, Vx is an E4. He also needs to attend WLC and some other classes to stay in the unit, but the new commander won't schedule those classes for him, either. Also, someone (no clue who) decided to put Vx on a permanent profile after his surgery. He was told he can't keep his MOS w/that profile, so either that needs to get fixed, or he'll have to change MOS's (for real this time) and change units (AGAIN! This will be his 6th or 7th unit in 3 years!).

Since he doesn't know what's going on w/the Army shit, its putting so many other things in our lives on hold, again. If he gets a new job, how will that look if he has to immediately take 3 months off for his classes? What if it ends up becoming the same fiasco as last year (sent to take a class for a month, to only return home 3 days later or they try to keep him longer than a month)? What if that job for the Army he was told about a while back actually becomes a reality? It would be for about 5 months, but it would still screw up many things. I know he'd still like to get deployed, but I don't see that happening. He volunteered for deployment 3 years ago, he still hasn't been, so why would he be sent now? Army rather send someone for their gillionth time than someone who's never been, and doesn't have kids.
