Frustration for the US soldiers who never went to war
It says only one in four actually deploy, seriously?! Then why are there so many going on multiple deployments? One of those other three can't go in their place? The military doesn't want to waste time re-training them? They sent my husband to the east coast in hopes he could walk on to a class that they a)sent him to the wrong place for and when he got to the right place b)the class was full, so he couldn't get in after all. The unit did let him stay on as another CBRN because he's also an expert saw gunner. Then he didn't get to go after all. There were people in this unit jumping out of windows, having doctors say their girlfriends/wives were having difficult pregnancies, everything they could think of to escape deployment, then my husband who VOLUNTEERED TO DEPLOY was kept behind because of some lazy-ass Army dentist didn't like the work another Army dentist did on my husband's teeth, so he was sent home to a civilian dentist to fix the problem?I'm reminded of all of this several times a day, especially now since my husband's had surgery and we had to switch sides of the bed again (first time after my broken femur & surgery). Every time I walk into our bedroom over to my "new" side of the bed, I'm having to step on or over this deployment shit. He refuses to stick it in his storage unit, he claims security risk, but he won't try to find a more secure unit. He doesn't want to

I think men like to have their junk laying everywhere...it shows that they own something...lol.
And I wanna know why they don't send the ones who want to go instead of the ones who have already been...It would've been nice to have spent our second year of marriage together...just sayin'. lol.
Hope things work out for y'all soon. :) *hugs*
